The National Book Week is an annual celebration of literacy  held every November pursuant to  Proclamation No. 109, s. 1936 that  seeks to promote and encourage a culture of reading in our society. Its purpose is to develop a dedicated programme for the promotion of books and reading nationally.

This year’s 89th National Book Week theme: READ, REREAD, RELIVE! (1) Is a call to every Filipino to make reading a daily habit and part of one’s lifestyle.  (2) Raise international and proficient readers who frequently read because it has become their instinct.  (3)  Experience rebirth of the mind through one reading material at a time, as reading allows us to live different lives all at one.

  • Promote library collections and services.
  • Exhibit the new acquisitioned collection of print materials.
  • Create a friendly and relaxing wellness activity among teachers and librarians.
