The Basic Education Unit (BEU) of St. Paul University Philippines shares in the mission of the Sisters of St. Paul of Chartres in proclaiming Jesus Christ as the good news to all men. The mission focuses on the total formation of the person in the image of Christ. Therefore, the concern of the BEU is to provide Christian Catholic quality education through harmonious integration of faith, knowledge and culture.

JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL LIBRARY CELEBRATES 89th NATIONAL BOOK WEEK CELEBRATION

The National Book Week is an annual celebration of literacy  held every November pursuant to  Proclamation No. 109, s. 1936 that  seeks to promote and encourage a culture of reading in our society. Its purpose is to develop a dedicated programme for the promotion of books and reading nationally. 

This year’s 89th National Book Week theme: READ, REREAD, RELIVE! (1) Is a call to every Filipino to make reading a daily habit and part of one’s lifestyle.  (2) Raise international and proficient readers who frequently read because it has become their instinct.  (3)  Experience rebirth of the mind through one reading material at a time, as reading allows us to live different lives all at one. 

OBJECTIVES 

 The 89th National Book Week Celebration aims to; 

  • Promote library collections and services.  
  • Exhibit the new acquisitioned collection of print materials. 
  • Create a friendly and relaxing wellness activity among teachers and librarians.   
  • Promote the love of reading
